High Resolution Impervious Surface Mapping in Carroll County, NH and York County, ME - 2010
Lead Agency: GRANIT
Primary Contact: David Justice
Sponsor(s): Piscataqua Region Estuaries Project
Start Date - End Date 08/01/2014 - 09/30/2015
Description: GRANIT is expanding the 2010 impervious surface mapping (which currently encompasses Rockingham and Strafford counties in New Hampshire) to include the entire Piscataqua Region Estuaries Partnership (PREP) footprint. The addition will include the towns of Alton, Brookfield, Pittsfield, Wakefield, and Wolfeboro in New Hampshire, and the Maine towns of Acton, Berwick, Eliot, Kittery, Lebanon, North Berwick, Sanford, Shapleigh, South Berwick, Wells, and York. The project will update the 2007 Maine impervious surface data to the 2010 time-frame and classify the five New Hampshire towns via eCognition processing (the methods used to produce the 2010 Rockingham and Strafford counties data).
