Description:
Abstract:
Trails data compiled by NH Office of Strategic Initiatives and NH Fish and Game Department from multiple public information sources including online maps, spatial data, orthophotos, and field data collection with handheld GPS units. Positional accuracy will vary. Coverage and attributes should not be construed as complete.
Purpose:
This dataset is intended to give an approximation of recreational trails for planning use only. Trails depicted are subject to change or closure due to trail conditions, land use operations and loss of landowner consent. Trails designated for one activity may not be accessible for all activities. Trails and roads in this data layer may also be maintained for management access, not for recreational use. Not all areas are open to public access and it is recommended users contact landowners and seek permission.
Supplemental_Information:
Digital data in NH GRANIT represent the efforts of the contributing agencies to record information from the cited source materials. The cooperating agencies maintain a continuing program to identify and correct errors in these data, and make no claim as to the validity or reliability or to any implied uses of these data.
