Type Raster Dataset
This data set estimates the percent slope for pixels in the raster dataset, and is one of a suite of topographic datasets available from NH GRANIT that convey the shape of the Earth's surface.
This data set represents a 5-meter resolution LiDAR-derived percent slope layer for New Hampshire. It was generated from a statewide Esri Mosaic Dataset which comprised 8 separate LiDAR collections that covered the state as of January, 2020. The Mosaic Dataset was used as input to the ArcGIS Spatial Analyst "Slope" geoprocessing tool which calculates the percent slope for each cell of the input raster, in this case, the statewide mosaic dataset.

Digital data in NH GRANIT represent the efforts of the contributing agencies to record information from the cited source materials. Earth Systems Research Center, under contract to the NH Office of Strategic Initiatives, and in consultation with cooperating agencies, maintains a continuing program to identify and correct errors in these data. OSI, ESRC, and the cooperating agencies make no claim as to the validity or reliability or to any implied uses of these data.
The critical attribute of this data is the raster cell percent slope, the absolute accuracy of which has been affected by a number of processing steps. The original LiDAR elevation source DEMs had a 0.7 - 2 meter or better nominal post spacing (GSD).

Data are complete for the State of New Hampshire, and reflect the content of the source datasets.
The ArcGIS "Slope" geoprocessing tool was applied to BAREERTHDEM along with the "PERCENT_RISE" option to generate an interim slope layer. The interim slope layer was then projected to the NH Stateplane spatial reference system.
